Welcome to Devine Protocol ("we," "our," or "us"), a decentralized prediction market powered by the SUI blockchain. By accessing or using our platform (located at devineprotocol.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Devine Protocol services.
1. Introduction
Devine Protocol offers a decentralized prediction market that enables users to place bets on the outcomes of various events. The platform utilizes the SUI blockchain, ensuring transparent, secure, and immutable transactions.
By using the services, you acknowledge that you are aware of the risks associated with using blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps), and you agree to use the platform at your own risk.
2. Eligibility
To use Devine Protocol, you must meet the following criteria:
You are at least 18 years old or the legal age in your jurisdiction to participate in a prediction market.
You are not located in or a resident of any jurisdiction where participation in prediction markets or similar services is prohibited by law, regulation, or rule.
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions.
By accessing or using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration and Security
To participate in the Devine Protocol prediction market, you must create an account. During the registration process, you may be required to provide a valid cryptocurrency wallet address on the SUI blockchain to interact with the platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your wallet credentials and account information.
You agree to:
Keep your account details secure and confidential.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account or any other breach of security.
Devine Protocol is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
4. Use of the Platform
Devine Protocol allows you to participate in prediction markets by placing wagers on the outcomes of various events. The platform supports smart contracts, enabling decentralized and transparent transactions. By placing a wager, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
You understand that your prediction market activity is conducted via blockchain transactions, which are irreversible.
You accept that the outcome of predictions is subject to the accuracy and functionality of the smart contract code.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when placing a bet.
You understand that any funds involved in the platform’s activities are subject to the risks inherent in blockchain technology, including but not limited to network failures, smart contract bugs, and hacking incidents.
5. Token and Payments
Devine Protocol operates on the SUI blockchain and may use a native token (e.g., DEV or any other token designated by the platform) for transactions. The following applies to your use of tokens on the platform:
You must have the appropriate wallet compatible with the SUI blockchain to interact with the platform.
You are responsible for all transactions that occur from your wallet and for ensuring that your wallet has sufficient balance to cover all wagers and associated fees.
You may deposit, withdraw, and transfer tokens in accordance with the platform’s policies.
Devine Protocol is not responsible for any losses or damages arising from unauthorized transactions, mistakes in token transfers, or network issues.
6. Fees and Charges
Devine Protocol may charge transaction fees for placing predictions, withdrawing funds, or interacting with the platform in other ways. These fees will be clearly disclosed at the time of the transaction. You agree to pay all applicable fees as set forth on the platform.
7. Market Outcomes and Payouts
The results of prediction markets are determined based on the final outcome of the event being predicted. Outcomes may be verified using decentralized oracles or other trusted sources of data.
Payouts are automatically distributed according to the smart contract's terms upon resolution of the market. You agree to accept the outcome of the smart contract and the associated payouts.
In case of disputes regarding the outcome, you agree to follow the resolution process provided by Devine Protocol, which may include arbitration or other dispute resolution methods.
8. Risk Acknowledgment
By using Devine Protocol, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:
Blockchain Risks: The platform operates on the SUI blockchain, which is subject to risks such as network congestion, changes in protocol, or bugs in smart contracts.
Market Risks: The prediction markets may involve financial risks, and you may lose all or part of your wagered funds.
Regulatory Risks: Devine Protocol may be subject to regulations in various jurisdictions, and changes in laws could affect your ability to use the platform.
Security Risks: Despite efforts to ensure the security of the platform, there is always a risk of hacking, phishing, or other malicious activities that could compromise your funds or personal information.
9. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in the following activities while using Devine Protocol:
Using the platform for any illegal or fraudulent activity.
Engaging in market manipulation, including but not limited to, using bots or scripts to influence market outcomes.
Circumventing any security or authentication measures of the platform.
Creating or submitting false or misleading information to the platform.
Engaging in behavior that could harm the reputation or operation of Devine Protocol.
Violators of these Terms may have their accounts suspended or terminated, and may be subject to legal action.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, software, and technology associated with Devine Protocol are owned by or licensed to Devine Protocol and are protected by intellectual property laws. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the platform without prior written consent from Devine Protocol.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
No Warranty: Devine Protocol provides the platform "as is" and makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the services.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Devine Protocol shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to, loss of funds, loss of data, or any other damages related to the prediction markets.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Devine Protocol, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of third parties.
13. Amendments to the Terms
Devine Protocol reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the updated Terms will be effective as of the date of posting. By continuing to use the platform after the changes are posted, you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Devine Protocol is based. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration or any other alternative dispute resolution process as agreed upon by the parties.
